| We begin this week with
Jesus' teaching in Luke 6:45, "from the abundance (surplus) of the heart the mouth
speaketh." Using this passage of
scripture as a basis to our teaching this week, without thought pattern functioning in
accordance with Jesus' teachings, we want to talk about the abundance of God's word and
power in our lives.
First of all, I want to say that God did not call us just
to be a "go to church Christian", but rather he has given us the (ability) along
with the (command) to preach the gospel to every creature. [Matthew 28:18].
Many have not yet realized just what their purpose here
on Earth is. If you are one of those people, then you are missing the mark of God's
calling on your life. It may even be one of the reasons why you are not being
successful in your life. (I am talking spiritual life here).
Our Savior has given power, and authority to walk upon
serpents, scorpions and over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means
hurt you.
Jesus didn't leave us comfortless. Read in John
Chapter 14.
You can fulfill God's purpose for your life. Jesus
made the way. All you have to do is surrender and say, "Not my will but thine
O' God. Now this can only come about through faith. Romans 1:16-17.
Beloved, you have faith; for Paul said in Roman 12:3 that
each one of us is given a measure of faith.
Now listen to what I'm going to say for it is a very
important factor in serving and doing God's will. Hebrew 11:6 tells us of the
impossibility of pleasing God without faith.
Therefore faith "demands" a decision
before it can operate. Meditate further on this and the spirit of God will bring
understanding unto you.
We, the church, have every capability to reach out to the
lost and hurting with this message of hope. If you're not already doing so, would
you ask you Heavenly Father to send a revival fire into your soul.
There is a mighty move of God in the land, and I, myself,
am seeing souls saved and ministered to.
I am part of a team that reaches out to the homeless
every Sunday. We minister the word, pray for whosoever will, and then we feed them
the natural food. It is truly rewarding to be able to see the results that take
place. You, too, can get involved and reap Heaven's reward.
Would you open your heart today and let God have complete
control? You'll never be happier. He's called you, and he wants to equip you
and all you have to do is obey and put some works with your faith. I've got
confidence in you that you will obey him. |
